Search commenced in the evening of Friday, August 10, 2007, and was completed successfully in the wee hours of August 11, 2007.
The team on scene assessed him and warmed him until more hands could hike in to assist them. A dozen or so people performed about a quarter-mile cross country carry out to the closest dirt road where an ambulance was waiting.
One SAR member from the Tahoe team suffered a minor injury and was treated at the scene.
This was the second successful mission in two days, and quite an upbeat experience for the SAR members on scene.
