This 1906 bridge, at the west end of town, used to carry Hwy. 50 traffic over Hangtown Creek as they entered or left town. Located almost imperceptibly between present-day Hwy. 50 and Forni Road
And here's the present-day weekend traffic on Hwy. 50
trying to enter, or pass by, the downtown area. (Remind me to take the back roads next time!)
